1. Delete in the app (fastest)
This is the primary route and it takes effect immediately. In the Xordinari Golf app:
- Open the Profile screen.
- Scroll to the App section and tap Privacy Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm, then type DELETE in the box to finish. The typed confirmation is there so an accidental tap cannot erase your account.
There is also a Delete Account button at the bottom of the Profile screen itself. It runs the same process and asks for the same typed confirmation.
If you want a copy of your data first, tap Request Data Export in the same Danger Zone section, or export your round history as a CSV from your Profile screen, before you delete. Once the account is gone we cannot produce an export.
2. Delete by email
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we handle it, email us and we will delete the account for you:
Send the request from the email address on the account and include the words “account deletion request”. We will verify that the request came from the account holder before we erase anything, which may mean asking you a question only you could answer. That verification step protects you from someone else deleting your account.
You do not need an account, a login, or a subscription to reach this page or to send that email.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials so the account can no longer be used, and erases the data we hold about you, including:
- Your profile - name, email address, profile photo, handicap index, home course, bio, and your app and privacy preferences.
- Your rounds and scores - every round, hole-by-hole scores, putts, stats, guest scores you kept, saved scorecard templates, and your handicap history.
- Your practice and improvement data - goals and season goals, practice sessions and drills, swing journal entries, shot history, shot shape logs, putting outcomes, club distances, skills assessments, achievements and milestones.
- Your caddie history - the personalized coaching profile the app builds from your rounds and your per-course history.
- Your photos - photos you uploaded to leagues and events are deleted from storage.
- Your connections and notifications - friends and follows, round invites, and your in-app notifications. We also remove notifications sitting in other people’s inboxes that name you.
- Your league participation - league memberships and league messages, check-ins, group rounds and trips you created, and your name in the rosters of shared rounds and trips.
- Everything else keyed to you - saved and favorite courses, course yardage notes, wishlist, feedback you sent us, pending export requests, and cached AI responses generated for you.
- Any other data linked to your account, including data from features no longer offered: tournament registrations, entries and waitlist places, lesson requests, bookings, lesson plans and coaching notes, student or coach relationships, rivals, challenges and activity feed entries, and any student athlete or recruiting profile, parent link, and record of who viewed that profile.
Content you posted that other golfers rely on, such as a course review or a course tip, stays published but is stripped of your name and any other identifying details, so it appears as a review from a deleted user. If you want a specific review or tip taken down entirely, tell us in your deletion email and we will remove it.
4. What we keep, and why
We keep a small number of records after deletion. We are being specific here rather than vague, because you deserve to know exactly what survives.
Money and transaction records
Records of payments, subscriptions, league dues and other league treasury entries, promo code redemptions and referrals, and any records from features no longer offered (gift subscriptions and charity auction bids), are kept, but your personal details are stripped out of them. Your name, email address, photo and phone number are replaced with a placeholder, and what remains is the transaction itself: the amount, the date, and what it was for.
We keep these because we are required to. Tax and accounting rules oblige us to retain records of money received and paid out, and we may need them to resolve a chargeback, a refund dispute, or a question from a league about its own accounts. In a charity auction the bid amount and item also have to survive so the charity and the donor can substantiate the donation.
To be accurate rather than flattering: because an internal account identifier remains attached to these records, this is pseudonymization rather than full anonymization. The records no longer show who you are, but they are not mathematically unlinkable.
Safety and moderation records
If you blocked someone, or someone reported an account, the record of that action is kept with the personal details removed. Deleting an account must not be a way to erase a safety report or to undo a block that is protecting someone else.
The record of the deletion itself
We keep a compliance record showing that a deletion was requested, when it was requested, and that it was carried out. This is the evidence that we honored your request, and it is the one record a deletion is not allowed to destroy. It does not contain your golf data.
Analytics
Aggregate usage statistics, such as how often a feature was opened, are kept with the account identifier stripped out. These contain no personal information and cannot be traced back to you.
Backups
Our encrypted backups are taken on a rolling schedule and are not edited in place. A backup taken before your deletion may still contain your data until it ages out of rotation, which happens within 30 days. Backups are only ever used to restore the service after a failure, and we do not query them to look up individual accounts.
5. How long it takes
- In the app - the deletion runs as soon as you confirm. Your sign-in is revoked and your data is erased in the same operation, usually within seconds. If any part of it fails, the app tells you so rather than reporting a success.
- By email - we verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, and normally much sooner. We will email you to confirm when it is done.
- Backups - roll off within 30 days, as described above.
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, because those are managed by the store, not by us. Cancel the subscription in your device’s store settings before or after you delete, or you may continue to be charged.
6. This is permanent
Account deletion cannot be undone. Your rounds, scores, handicap history, photos, goals and coaching history are erased and we cannot bring them back, recover them from a backup, or restore them if you sign up again later. A new account with the same email address starts empty.
If you only want a break, consider signing out instead, or turning off the optional features you would rather not use. If you are unsure, export your round history first.
